This Thai Silk print is inspired from Thai silk manufacturing, a process originally founded over 3 thousand years ago in South East Asia. Thai-produced silk was never very popular in Thailand. It was worn only by the makers themselves, but earned large popularity in the US and Britain post World War II when an American entrepreneur combined the silk fabric with Thai-inspired patterns and began marketing the product abroad.
